Job Overview: We are currently seeking two experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our team for a rewarding travel assignment in Belleville, IL. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing quality patient care during surgical procedures, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Assess patient health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with surgical preparations and procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Provide patient education and support, addressing concerns and ensuring informed consent for surgical procedures.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in perioperative nursing, preferably in an acute care setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility to work 12.5-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
