Job Title: Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Assignment

Location: Belleville, IL

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12.5 hours/day, 5 days/week

Job Overview: We are currently seeking two experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our team for a rewarding travel assignment in Belleville, IL. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing quality patient care during surgical procedures, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Assess patient health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement interventions based on individual patient needs.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist with surgical preparations and procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide patient education and support, addressing concerns and ensuring informed consent for surgical procedures.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in perioperative nursing, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Flexibility to work 12.5-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
