Position Overview:

As a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst at Citigroup, you will play a pivotal role in protecting sensitive data and ensuring the integrity of our information security measures. You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing our DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized data access, loss, or leakage. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to addressing data security challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DLP Solution Management: Implement and manage DLP tools and technologies to safeguard sensitive data across the organization’s network, endpoints, and cloud environments.
  • Policy Development: Develop, refine, and enforce DLP policies and rules to address data protection needs and compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor data movement and access patterns to identify potential risks, data breaches, or policy violations.
  • Incident Response: Respond to DLP alerts and incidents by investigating, analyzing, and mitigating data loss or leakage events. Provide detailed incident reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure DLP solutions are integrated with other security measures and aligned with organizational policies.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure that DLP practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, and other data protection laws.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and create awareness programs to educate employees on data protection best practices and DLP policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies to continuously enhance DLP strategies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) are a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data loss prevention, information security, or a related field, preferably in a financial services or large enterprise environment.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with DLP solutions and technologies such as Symantec, McAfee, Forcepoint, or Digital Guardian. Strong knowledge of data protection, encryption, and access control principles.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear, detailed reports.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with data protection regulations and standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS.
