Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education Endorsement.

  • Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum, and behavior management strategies.

  • At least one year of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to manage classroom needs, including occasional lifting of equipment up to 40 lbs.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

 
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Adapt curriculum to diverse learning styles and needs.

  • Create a positive, safe, and well-structured learning environment.

  • Communicate with parents regularly to provide progress updates and collaborate on student success strategies.

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a productive learning atmosphere.

  • Assess and track student progress, making necessary instructional adjustments.

  • Collaborate with other educators and specialists to ensure student success.

  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal special education regulations.

Job Details:

  • Contract positions available for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year.

  • 37.5–40 hours per week, following the academic district calendar.

  • Caseload and classroom details vary by school and will be discussed upon application.
