Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
Valid Arizona teaching certificate with Special Education Endorsement.
Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum, and behavior management strategies.
At least one year of experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to manage classroom needs, including occasional lifting of equipment up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Adapt curriculum to diverse learning styles and needs.
Create a positive, safe, and well-structured learning environment.
Communicate with parents regularly to provide progress updates and collaborate on student success strategies.
Manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a productive learning atmosphere.
Assess and track student progress, making necessary instructional adjustments.
Collaborate with other educators and specialists to ensure student success.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal special education regulations.
Job Details:
Contract positions available for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year.
37.5–40 hours per week, following the academic district calendar.
