Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to identify, analyse, and implement business systems solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's operations. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration of systems to support strategic goals.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define business requirements, and translate these into clear and actionable system specifications.

  • Systems Analysis: Analyse existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. Provide recommendations for optimisation or redesign of business systems to meet evolving needs.

  • Solution Design: Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring that system functionality aligns with strategic objectives.

  • Documentation: Prepare detailed system documentation, including functional specifications, process maps, use cases, and test cases. Ensure all requirements are clearly documented and communicated to both business and technical teams.

  • Testing and Validation: Participate in system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and integration testing, to ensure the systems meet the specified requirements.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of project goals and progress.

  • Training and Support: Provide support and training to end-users on new systems or changes to existing systems. Help users adapt to new technologies and processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, business trends, and industry best practices. Proactively suggest improvements to systems and processes that drive business efficiency.

 


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a business systems analysis role or similar. Experience in the UK market is highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in systems analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and business analysis software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio). Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Qualifications: A degree in Business, IT, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications such as IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) or BCS (Business Analysis Certification) are a plus.

 


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Knowledge of data analytics or business intelligence tools.

  • Experience in Agile environments or familiarity with Agile practices.
