1st Shift Material Handler on their team!
1st Shift M-F 8a-4:30p, plus OT, up to 50-ish hrs./wk.
Pay rate is based upon experience
JOB SUMMARY
Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment. Maintains established inventory standard levels of supplies. Ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials. May process order documentation. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain component materials from stock location by making appropriate scan using handheld device.
- Deliver material to designated areas and ensuring that a minimum of two hours stock is in those areas while using the FIFO method for inventory.
- Ability to move finished goods to designated area once completed by production using hand scanner.
- Obtain returnable containers or pallets for the areas in which assigned.
- Return unused material to stock locations by making appropriate scan.
- Ability to maintain stock areas and aisle ways ensuring that they are clear of material and obstructions.
- Maintain outside storage area and tub warehouse as well as obtaining containers, pallets, etc. from area.
- Ability to follow all safety rules by properly using harness/safety belt, completion of daily checklist, properly changing battery, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of how to receive in production and MRO material by verifying material received matches order, checking for damage to product and turning in appropriate paperwork to accounting
- Knowledge of how to ship and receive outside processed componentry by weighing outgoing parts, completing packing slips and matching incoming material with vendor packing slips
- Ability to empty recyclable containers and dispose of scrap from bins.
- Proficient computer skills in all applications
- Knowledge of and ability to use a handheld scanning device
- The ability to operate and become a certified industrial powered truck operator
